Overview
We are seeking an experienced Embedded Linux Engineer for an initial 6-month contract, focused on enhancing and modernizing an Embedded Linux platform. The role involves collaborating with hardware and software teams to improve system performance, stability, and real-time capabilities after a recent migration to Embedded Linux. This position supports flexible remote work after an initial onsite week and plays a vital part in advancing the client’s embedded product offerings.
Responsibilities
- Review existing Linux implementation and architecture.
- Enhance performance and stability of the Embedded Linux platform.
- Collaborate with hardware and software teams on development projects.
- Develop and maintain embedded Linux systems using Buildroot.
- Conduct performance tuning and real-time optimization for Linux.
- Implement drivers and utilize version control with Git.
- Integrate APIs and work on file transfer mechanisms within embedded systems.
- Support development of USB and Bluetooth connectivity solutions.
Requirements
- Strong experience developing Embedded Linux solutions.
- Proficiency with Buildroot for embedded Linux systems.
- Solid knowledge of Embedded C/C++ and Linux kernel configuration.
- Experience with Board Support Package (BSP) development.
- Familiarity with ARM processors and custom hardware bring-up.
- Understanding of performance tuning in real-time Linux environments.
- Experience with device driver development and debugging.
- Knowledge of cross-compilation and embedded toolchains.
