Overview
The Microsoft 365 Engineer – O365 Migration Specialist will focus on planning and executing migration strategies across various Microsoft services, including Exchange, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Teams. This short-term contract role requires hands-on technical expertise and engagement with both on-site infrastructure and third-party managed service providers, ensuring alignment with business and IT strategy while maintaining high performance and resilience in network operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage office and site infrastructure to align with business and IT strategy.
- Act as the final escalation point for the Service Desk Team.
- Plan and execute migration strategies for Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Teams.
- Coordinate with third-party Managed Service Providers for network and infrastructure management.
- Support business continuity through proactive incident management.
- Monitor network health and performance to ensure high availability and resilience.
- Maintain inventory and configuration records for infrastructure and software.
Requirements
- Proven expertise in O365 tenant-to-tenant migrations.
- Strong working knowledge of Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and Azure AD.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation.
- Exposure to hybrid Exchange environments.
- Routing and Switching experience; CCNA certification is highly desirable.
- Understanding of network infrastructure and firewall configurations.
