Overview

We are looking for a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to engage in New Product Introduction (NPI) activities for advanced aircraft assembly within a leading-edge avionics development program. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure the industrialization and readiness of innovative aircraft technologies, focusing on both mechanical and electrical assembly processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead manufacturing engineering activities for New Product Introduction (NPI) across mechanical and electrical/avionics assembly.
  • Develop and validate manufacturing plans, work instructions, tooling requirements, and process documentation.
  • Support integration of Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and other avionics components into airframe assemblies.
  • Conduct build simulations and design-for-manufacture (DFM) reviews.
  • Provide shop-floor engineering support, including issue resolution and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with design, quality, supply chain, and test engineering teams.
  • Participate in configuration control and product readiness reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with aviation standards and regulations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in aircraft manufacturing, particularly in mechanical and electrical assembly.
  • Direct experience with avionics systems or aviation electrical systems is mandatory.
  • In-depth knowledge of EWIS standards and aircraft harnessing processes.
  • Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) or prototype builds.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and assembly flow optimization.
  • Problem-solving skills with experience in non-conformance resolution.
  • Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline is preferred.
