Your new role You'll carry out mechanical maintenance on a wide range of equipment including conveyors, pumps, hydraulics, and other plant systems. The role involves both reactive and preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, and supporting continuous improvement across the site. Responsibilities

  • Carry out mechanical maintenance on equipment such as conveyors, pumps, and hydraulics.
  • Perform fault diagnosis to identify and rectify equipment issues.
  • Implement preventative maintenance schedules to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings to guide maintenance activities.
  • Work independently while ensuring adherence to safety standards.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or Maintenance.
  • HNC qualification in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
  • Experience in industrial, marine, or port environments is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read technical drawings.
