Overview
The role of Media Engineer focuses on the leadership and technical delivery of broadcast media engineering projects, particularly with experience in SDVI and ingest platforms. Working in a hybrid environment, the contractor will collaborate with engineering teams to design, configure, and integrate workflows that ensure efficient content ingest processes. Responsibilities
- Lead engineering teams to deliver technical solutions within complex broadcast environments.
- Design and configure workflow orchestration using SDVI Rally and related media workflow systems.
- Integrate content ingest workflows, ensuring quality control and metadata processing.
- Manage file-based ingest and transcoding processes within media supply chains.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize ingest tooling and hybrid infrastructure.
- Provide hands-on technical direction and mentorship to junior engineers.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Lead or Senior Engineer in broadcast media technology.
- Extensive hands-on experience with SDVI Rally and similar media workflow systems.
- Strong understanding of content ingest workflows, including transcoding and quality control.
- Familiarity with tools such as Signiant, Aspera, and Telestream in media contexts.
- Demonstrated ability to lead engineering teams effectively.
- Proficiency in Python development for workflow design and integration.
