Overview
The MHEV System Validation Engineer will be a vital member of the Powerpack Engineering team, focusing on the integration, development, and validation of MHEV propulsion systems. This role entails collaborating with various engineering teams to ensure optimal system performance through rigorous testing and problem-solving, while contributing to both virtual and physical development phases.
Responsibilities
- Support the resolution of propulsion system issues.
- Assist with vehicle builds and provide technical support for MHEV systems.
- Conduct fault diagnosis for ICE and MHEV powerpack at vehicle and PIL levels.
- Create DVPs, test cases, and writing procedures and requirements.
- Lead system definition and validation activities.
- Utilize diagnostic and data analysis tools for system evaluations.
- Collaborate across internal and external teams to manage technical issues.
Requirements
- Proven engineering knowledge of ICE/MHEV propulsion systems.
- Experience in integration and hybrid/electric vehicle powertrain systems.
- Working knowledge of electrical engineering and battery technologies.
- Experience with diagnostic and data analysis tools like INCA, Canalyzer, and Matlab.
- Ability to apply a structured problem-solving approach such as Six Sigma.
- Experience in an engineering test environment or vehicle testing.
- A full UK Driving Licence class 2 or equivalent is required.
