Overview
The Microsoft Cloud Security Engineer will be responsible for enhancing the cloud security capabilities within a highly regulated environment, primarily focusing on securing Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud platforms. Collaborating with technical teams, this role aims to protect business-critical systems and data while promoting modern security practices across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain security controls across Azure and hybrid cloud platforms.
- Manage identity, authentication, and access management solutions.
- Monitor, investigate, and respond to security incidents and threats.
- Improve security posture through continuous assessment and remediation activities.
- Support compliance, governance, and regulatory security requirements.
- Provide security guidance and best practice recommendations to technical teams.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure security technologies.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and modern identity management practices.
- Experience working with Microsoft Sentinel and Defender security solutions.
- Understanding of cloud security frameworks and Zero Trust principles.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Purview and governance tooling.
- Strong stakeholder communication and risk management skills.
