Overview
We are seeking a Microsoft Security Engineer for a contract position focusing on the delivery of advanced security solutions across the Microsoft ecosystem. The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing and supporting cloud security and data governance solutions within a fully remote work environment. This role offers the chance to work with a leading Managed Service Provider, delivering impactful security strategies while ensuring compliance and governance.
Responsibilities
- Deploy and manage Microsoft security solutions, including Azure Firewall, NSGs, WAF, and Entra ID.
- Implement and optimize the Microsoft Defender suite and Microsoft Sentinel.
- Configure Microsoft Purview for data governance, including DLP and compliance management.
- Manage Intune policies to ensure device security and compliance.
- Ensure operational security with Azure Policy and maintain documentation.
Requirements
- Proven experience with Microsoft security solutions, particularly Azure Firewall and Microsoft Defender.
- Strong knowledge of cloud security and compliance frameworks, especially Azure Security Center and Microsoft Sentinel.
- Experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM) with Microsoft Entra ID.
- Familiarity with data protection tools and governance strategies, including Microsoft Purview.
- Microsoft certifications such as AZ-500 or SC-100 are preferred.
