Overview
We are seeking a talented ML Engineer at an early to mid-career level for a new contract role within a forward-thinking AI-focused HealthTech start-up. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop, optimize, and deploy machine learning models that enhance healthcare services, making a significant impact on patient care outcomes through innovative AI solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy machine learning models to tackle real-world healthcare challenges.
- Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product teams to integrate ML solutions into existing platforms.
- Optimize ML models for performance, scalability, and reliability in production environments.
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing to maintain high engineering standards.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of AI workflows and deployment pipelines.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and AWS cloud services.
- Background in Software Engineering or Data Engineering with experience in back-end systems.
- Hands-on experience in deploying and productizing machine learning models for real-world applications.
- Understanding of ML Data Science concepts from an API perspective, including GraphQL, gRPC, and REST.
- Experience working within start-up environments or in the HealthTech sector is desirable.
