Overview
We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer with a focus on frontend and mobile development to join a fast-growing travel tech startup on a contract basis. The contractor will work remotely with a small team to enhance and build out a React Native application for both iOS and Android platforms, focusing on various mobile flows and functionalities. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic project in a startup environment, requiring strong technical skills in mobile development and backend integration.
Responsibilities
- Develop mobile flows for onboarding, authentication, trip planning, and bookings.
- Build polished React Native user interfaces for iOS and Android.
- Integrate backend services using REST APIs with Node.js and Express.js.
- Manage state, navigation, and offline handling in the mobile application.
- Implement push notifications and deep linking features within the app.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure code quality and application performance.
- Participate in the testing and deployment of mobile applications.
Requirements
- Proven experience in React Native and TypeScript programming.
- Strong understanding of REST API integration.
- Familiarity with iOS and Android app lifecycle and release requirements.
- Experience with Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB is essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Bonus: Knowledge of Expo, React Navigation, Zustand/Redux Toolkit, and mobile testing frameworks (e.g., Detox, Maestro).
