Overview
We are seeking a skilled React Native Engineer to develop a mobile application for a prominent UK organisation within regulated industries. The role encompasses building a cross-platform app using React Native and TypeScript, ensuring high standards of accessibility and performance, and collaborating closely with backend and design teams to deliver features end-to-end. This contract position offers flexible, hybrid working arrangements with an emphasis on innovative development practices.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship a cross-platform mobile application in React Native and TypeScript.
- Deliver applications for both iOS and Android platforms.
- Ensure accessibility standards are maintained throughout the development process.
- Collaborate with backend and design teams to ship features from start to finish.
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools, such as GitHub Copilot, in daily workflows.
- Test and optimize mobile performance to enhance user experience.
- Support the deployment process to App Store and Play Store.
Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in React Native and TypeScript.
- Proven track record of successfully shipping mobile applications to the App Store and Play Store.
- Strong understanding of mobile accessibility requirements.
- Solid knowledge of mobile performance best practices and testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.
- Experience in financial services or regulated applications is a plus.
