Overview
The Network Architect will lead the successful delivery of a WAN modernisation project within the public sector, focusing on enhancing network design and supplier engagement. This hybrid role involves remote work with occasional travel to locations in the Southwest, requiring close collaboration with both technical teams and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met. Candidates must meet security clearance eligibility requirements and have substantial experience in network engineering and architecture.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of WAN modernisation projects.
- Engage with suppliers to manage relationships and ensure project alignment.
- Develop high-level and low-level network designs.
- Challenge and validate network designs with stakeholders.
- Communicate technical designs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Oversee project management tasks related to network infrastructure.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in network engineering and senior network architecture roles.
- Proven track record of leading WAN modernisation projects.
- Extensive experience with supplier engagement and managing complex relationships.
- Strong project management skills and experience.
- Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences.
- Current UK driving license is required.
- Eligibility for SC clearance is essential, with a clean vetting history and residency conditions met.
