Overview
We are seeking experienced Network Engineers with expertise in VMware NSX deployment and implementation to contribute to a significant infrastructure transformation project for a prominent UK brand. The role is centered around delivering large-scale enterprise network implementations and offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in a fully remote capacity. This is an outside IR35 contract, ideal for candidates who thrive in dynamic project environments and have a strong deployment focus.
Responsibilities
- Deploy and implement enterprise IP network infrastructure.
- Configure and deploy Cisco Routing & Switching solutions using Catalyst and Nexus platforms.
- Implement VMware NSX, including Distributed Firewall (DFW) configurations.
- Support network deployments, migrations, cutovers, and implementation activities.
- Troubleshoot complex LAN, Data Centre, and virtualized network environments.
- Collaborate with project and infrastructure teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Participate in technical discussions related to DNS and SD-WAN technologies.
- Produce technical documentation and assist with post-deployment activities.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in enterprise network deployment and implementation roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Routing & Switching, particularly using Catalyst and Nexus.
- Proven experience in deploying and implementing VMware NSX, including DFW.
- Exceptional troubleshooting skills across enterprise network environments.
- Experience in supporting network migrations and implementation projects.
- Ability to work independently in customer-facing onsite environments.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with DNS and SD-WAN technologies is desirable.
