Overview
The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evolving enterprise-wide LAN/WAN and intranet architectures to fulfill performance, scalability, and security requirements. The role involves collaborating with IT and business teams to align network strategies with organizational goals while also mentoring junior engineers. This contract position is onsite for five days a week, with potential for extension following the initial three-month period.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise LAN/WAN and intranet architectures.
- Evaluate and deploy network hardware and software solutions.
- Lead the integration and optimization of network services including VoIP and cloud connectivity.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance network performance.
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with IT and business teams.
Requirements
- 8-15 years of hands-on experience in network engineering or architecture.
- Strong expertise in routing and switching protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP.
- Proven experience with network security technologies including firewalls and VPNs.
- Solid knowledge of cloud networking and enterprise network design principles.
- Hands-on experience with networking platforms such as Fortinet, Juniper, and Cisco.
