Overview

The Network Field Engineer will be responsible for hands-on implementation and support of Cisco network solutions, with a strong emphasis on the physical layer infrastructure. Working both independently and as part of a team, the engineer will ensure the professional presentation and operational efficiency of network installations across various sites, with a degree of travel throughout the UK and Europe.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and support Cisco switching and routing solutions in field environments.
  • Upgrade network switches and manage physical infrastructure installations.
  • Organize and maintain network cabinets while ensuring professional presentation.
  • Travel extensively across the UK and Europe for site deployments and upgrades.
  • Work independently and collaboratively to minimize disruption in live operational settings.
  • Represent the company professionally on-site and during client interactions.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with Cisco switching and routing at the CCNA level (2-6 years).
  • Practical knowledge of structured cabling and physical network infrastructure.
  • Experience upgrading network switches in production or field environments.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays and out of hours work.
  • Valid UK driving license and passport required.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team while maintaining a professional demeanor.
