Overview
We are looking for a skilled Network Systems Engineer to join a focused engineering team for a 6-month contract role. This position involves hands-on configuration, lab support, and contributing to the development of network architectures while collaborating closely with the Lead Systems Engineer and other technical teams to ensure high standards are met in system delivery.
Responsibilities
- Configure systems according to Lead Systems Engineer specifications.
- Provide technical assistance during trials and test activities.
- Support the creation of network architectures for lab environments.
- Assist in maintaining and developing lab infrastructure and associated environments.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) Model.
- Solid knowledge of IPv4 addressing principles.
- Experience configuring Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs).
- Hands-on experience with network implementation and rollout.
- Understanding of network architecture design.
- Familiarity with NetConf for network device configuration.
- Awareness of network security principles and best practices (desirable).
- Knowledge of safety-critical systems and Time Sensitive Networking (desirable).
