Overview
We are seeking an Operations Delivery Manager to lead key electricity connection projects within a Distribution Network Operator (DNO). This pivotal role involves overseeing operational performance across civils, reinstatement, and overhead line functions, while managing a multi-disciplinary team and ensuring project delivery is both efficient and commercially viable. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to drive performance and continuous improvement across operations.
Responsibilities
- Act as the operational lead across multi-disciplinary delivery teams.
- Oversee civils, reinstatement, and overhead line departments, managing relevant managers directly.
- Ensure efficient, safe, and commercially viable project delivery.
- Drive performance, decision-making, and continuous improvement across operations.
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships across projects and business functions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior operational role within utilities, ideally in electricity connections.
- Strong background in delivery of underground (up to 11kV) and/or overhead line (33kV) projects.
- Demonstrable leadership experience in managing teams and driving outcomes.
- Excellent commercial awareness and understanding of project economics.
- Confident decision-maker in a fast-paced environment.
