Operations Research Scientist (Python, SQL) – Supply Chain Optimisation Remote | 6-Month Contract | £500p/d (Outside IR35) OB are partnered with a global leader in performance sportswear, known for innovation, rapid growth, and a data-driven approach to redefining the running industry. We’re looking for an Operations Research Scientist to join their fast-paced, interdisciplinary Supply Chain Data Science team, working alongside data scientists, planners, and engineers to embed optimization and analytics into every layer of the global supply chain. What you’ll do: Develop and implement large-scale optimization models (MILP) to solve complex supply chain challenges. Use Python and SQL (BigQuery) to build and scale data pipelines and models Collaborate with Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and Logistics to translate business needs into optimization solutions. Optimize inventory allocation, shipment modes, and transfer orders to drive efficiency and resilience Key Requirements: 3+ years in Operations Research or Data Science Must have experience with MILP Strong Python and SQL skills (Pandas, Scikit-learn, BigQuery) Deep understanding of Supply Chain dynamics. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Operations Research or Data Science.
  • Proven experience with Mixed-Integer Linear Programming (MILP).
  • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, including experience with Pandas and Scikit-learn.
  • Deep understanding of supply chain dynamics.
