Overview
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Lead Developer to join a dynamic team for a six-month contract position. The successful candidate will lead critical database development initiatives, focusing on Oracle 19c, while collaborating with stakeholders and mentoring junior developers. This role is centered around designing, developing, and optimizing high-quality Oracle database solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis, design, and development of Oracle database solutions using Oracle 19c.
- Develop and optimize complex PL/SQL code for efficiency and maintainability.
- Collaborate with architects and business stakeholders to define technical solutions.
- Produce and maintain clear Technical Design Documents (TDDs).
- Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards and best practices.
- Manage the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from design to deployment.
- Coordinate effectively across teams to ensure project requirements are met.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers, fostering a collaborative environment.
Requirements
- Substantial experience as an Oracle Developer, particularly with Oracle 19c.
- Advanced proficiency in PL/SQL development, including procedures, packages, functions, and views.
- Proven track record of leading development efforts or managing small teams.
- Familiarity with creating detailed Technical Design Documents (TDDs).
- Solid understanding of database performance tuning and optimization.
- Experience with version control tools like Git, SVN, or PVCS.
- Knowledge of project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Additional exposure to Oracle Forms/Reports (D2K) or AWS is a plus.
