Overview
We are looking for an experienced Oracle Lead Developer to join a dynamic team and play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing complex Oracle database solutions with a focus on Oracle 19c. The successful candidate will shape technical directions, collaborate with stakeholders, and mentor junior developers, ensuring high standards of code quality and performance. This contract offers the chance to work in a fast-paced environment, driving innovative database solutions that align with the organization’s strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis, design, and development of Oracle database solutions to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
- Develop and optimize complex PL/SQL procedures, packages, functions, and views, adhering to best practices.
- Collaborate with architects and business stakeholders to define technical solutions and produce comprehensive Technical Design Documents (TDDs).
- Own the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from initial design to testing and deployment.
- Facilitate code reviews, mentor junior team members, and act as a key communication point across teams.
- Work with project managers and business analysts to align delivery timelines and requirements.
- Provide technical insights into design decisions and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Strong background in Oracle database development with proven experience in Oracle 19c.
- Advanced proficiency in PL/SQL programming, database design, and performance tuning.
- Experience leading development efforts or managing small teams.
- Excellent technical documentation skills including experience creating detailed Technical Design Documents (TDDs).
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git or SVN, and project management tools like JIRA and Confluence.
- Knowledge of Oracle Forms/Reports (D2K) or Oracle Hub is advantageous.
- Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS is considered a plus.
