Overview
Hays Technology is seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle Developer to join a dynamic team focused on delivering critical database solutions. In this role, the successful candidate will collaborate across multiple phases of the software development lifecycle, leveraging their expertise in Oracle technologies to enhance system performance and data management efficiency. Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain Oracle SQL and PL/SQL solutions to meet business requirements.
- Build and enhance stored procedures, packages, functions, cursors, and views.
- Design and develop Oracle Forms and Reports (10g/11g) to support operational needs.
- Support database development initiatives on Oracle 19g and data warehousing projects.
- Manage Oracle Jobs, including creation, scheduling, and auditing for optimal performance.
- Optimise queries and improve PL/SQL performance to enhance system efficiency.
- Participate in all phases of the SDLC, from design and development to deployment and maintenance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable database solutions.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development.
- Proficiency in Oracle Forms and Reports (10g/11g).
- Experience working with Oracle 19g and in data warehousing projects.
- Knowledge of query optimisation and performance tuning techniques.
- Understanding of data modeling, ER diagrams, and data mapping.
- Experience managing Oracle Jobs and scheduling processes.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to contribute to solution design and documentation.
- Additional certifications or training related to Oracle technologies and data warehousing are advantageous.
