Overview
The Senior Oracle Developer role is a contract position focusing on the full lifecycle of Oracle database development, including design, coding, deployment, and performance optimization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams on various projects, such as data warehousing and Oracle Forms and Reports, and contribute to creating efficient, scalable database solutions. This position offers an opportunity for experienced professionals to enhance their technical skills while working within a dynamic organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Oracle SQL and PL/SQL solutions to meet business requirements.
- Build and enhance procedures, packages, functions, cursors, and views to support application functionality.
- Design, develop, and maintain Oracle Forms and Reports (10g/11g) for data presentation and reporting needs.
- Support database development activities on Oracle 19g, including data warehousing projects and data integration workflows.
- Manage and monitor Oracle Jobs, ensuring optimal performance through creation, scheduling, and auditing.
- Optimize queries to improve PL/SQL performance and enhance system efficiency.
- Participate in all phases of the SDLC, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
- Analyze entity relationship diagrams (ERDs) to ensure accurate implementation of data models.
Requirements
- Proven expertise in Oracle database development with strong proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL programming.
- Solid understanding of Oracle Forms and Reports (10g/11g), and familiarity with Oracle 19g.
- Experience in data warehousing concepts and query optimization techniques.
- Ability to analyze complex data models and ER diagrams.
- Demonstrated capability to work independently across the software development lifecycle.
- Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities.
- Leadership qualities and experience in guiding team members are desirable.
