Overview
The Oracle Fusion Payroll Test Manager will play a crucial role in leading the testing strategy and execution for a significant payroll transformation project within a major UK media and entertainment organization. This position involves collaboration with senior stakeholders, systems integrators, and various business teams to ensure the effective delivery of payroll capabilities. The contractor will focus on governance, planning, and managing all phases of testing within a complex Oracle Fusion implementation.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive the end-to-end Oracle Fusion Payroll testing strategy.
- Develop detailed test plans, schedules, and governance frameworks.
- Manage all phases of testing including SIT, UAT, regression, and payroll parallel runs.
- Coordinate testing activities across business, HR, Payroll, Finance, and technology teams.
- Ensure test coverage aligns with business requirements and payroll compliance obligations.
- Oversee defect management processes and reporting.
- Provide regular updates to programme leadership and stakeholders.
- Lead test readiness assessments and support go-live planning activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Test Manager on Oracle Fusion HCM programmes.
- Strong expertise in Oracle Fusion Payroll testing.
- Demonstrable experience delivering payroll transformation projects in large organisations.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, controls, and compliance requirements.
- Experience managing SIT, UAT, end-to-end and parallel payroll testing cycles.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to operate effectively within large programme environments and matrix organisations.
- Desirable experience with Oracle Fusion HCM broader module knowledge.
