Overview
We are seeking Oracle Software Developers to support the Ministry of Defence (MOD) on a contract basis until March 2027. This role involves developing and maintaining payroll applications for the MOD, contributing to projects that ensure the delivery of effective and secure solutions. The position requires collaboration with various teams and adherence to departmental procedures while maintaining security standards throughout the development process.
Responsibilities
- Develop payroll elements solutions to meet user needs within departmental guidelines.
- Write clean, secure, and well-tested fast formulas and code.
- Undertake development for applications maintenance or change delivery according to business demand.
- Ensure payroll solutions are peer-reviewed and unit tested.
- Document developed solutions for the Civilian payroll application implementation.
- Provide practitioner-level knowledge of Oracle Cloud payroll application and mentor others in configuration solutions.
Requirements
- Experience with Oracle Cloud applications, fast formula, payroll, and integrations.
- Experience with OTBI/BI reporting.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a demanding environment.
- Sound judgement and skills in interpreting user needs.
- Proficient in problem investigation and resolution.
- Active SC Clearance is essential for this role.
