Overview

The Oracle Solution Architect will serve as the Lead Architect for a managed service engagement within the UK Public Sector, focusing on the Oracle ERP suite. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including client design authorities, service delivery managers, and third-party vendors, to ensure that solutions align with business needs and contractual obligations while adhering to security standards. The architect will also lead design efforts across Oracle applications and cloud infrastructure, driving modernization initiatives and technical leadership within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall design of VE3-led changes and solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Assemble and direct design teams for complex projects, coordinating with Business Analysts and project managers as necessary.
  • Author and present System Change Requests and Design Authority papers for client approvals.
  • Conduct impact assessments for approved System Change Requests within agreed service levels.
  • Attend Design Authority forums to recommend service improvements and understand client roadmaps.
  • Ensure designs comply with contractual and security standards, embedding necessary security controls.
  • Coordinate and assure integrations across Oracle SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS environments, ensuring architectural integrity.
  • Mentor and technically direct the VE3 team, raising overall technical capabilities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of hands-on Oracle architecture experience, with at least 3 years as a Lead Architect on Oracle Fusion programs.
  • Deep knowledge of Oracle Fusion SaaS (HCM, ERP, EPM), including configuration patterns and integration points.
  • Strong experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure PaaS and a working knowledge of OCI IaaS networking and compute.
  • Demonstrable skills in designing custom integrations and navigating complex integration patterns within Oracle ecosystems.
  • Proficiency in UK Government security standards and principles, particularly in applying them to design efforts.
  • Experience in Waterfall, Agile, and Adaptive delivery methodologies, with effective documentation skills.
  • SC clearance and UK nationality are required, with eligibility for DV clearance desirable.
