In this contract role, the consultant will focus on organisational design and strategy initiatives for local government projects, collaborating with senior stakeholders to facilitate transformation and implementation. The position involves delivering business cases, project management, and PMO support, aiming to drive effective decision-making and project outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Support organisation design and strategy work across local government transformation projects.
  • Develop business cases, options appraisals, and supporting analysis for senior stakeholders.
  • Provide project management and PMO support including project plans and status reporting.
  • Coordinate workstreams, manage governance, and support delivery in complex stakeholder environments.
  • Assist in current-state assessment and future-state design recommendations.

Requirements

  • Independent consultant with relevant experience.
  • Strong background in organisation design, operating model design, or transformation within local government or public sector.
  • Proficient in business case development, including options analysis and benefits cases.
  • Experienced in project management and PMO practices with a focus on governance and delivery.
