Overview
The Payroll Specialist will be an integral part of a HR and Payroll transformation programme within a consultancy known for managing complex organisational changes. This role involves maintaining day-to-day UK payroll operations while providing oversight for global payroll governance during a system transition from Zellis to Dayforce. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess strong technical and compliance skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end UK business-as-usual (BAU) payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery during the transformation.
- Oversee global payroll governance across various outsourced regions, ensuring all control standards are adhered to.
- Maintain compliance and SOX requirements within UK and US payroll operations through effective documentation and oversight.
- Review payroll inputs and outputs to ensure all global reporting activities are accurate and compliant.
Requirements
- Strong background in managing large-scale UK payroll operations for approximately 2,000–5,000 employees.
- Experience overseeing outsourced global payrolls across multiple regions.
- Solid understanding of payroll controls, compliance, and SOX frameworks.
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment with strong stakeholder management skills.
