Platform Engineer

Overview

In this role as a Platform Engineer, you will be a key member of the cloud infrastructure team, working with various technologies to manage Kubernetes clusters on AWS and contribute to the company's data engineering initiatives. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of architecture, CI/CD, and reliability across the platform while mentoring fellow engineers and making data-driven improvements to performance, cost, and security. This position is suitable for experienced candidates at the Senior or Staff level and offers the chance to collaborate within a dynamic, open-source-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture, CI/CD, and reliability across the platform.
• Set technical direction with real autonomy.
• Mentor engineers and share knowledge across the organization.
• Use data and metrics to drive performance, cost, and security improvements.

Requirements

• Production Kubernetes experience.
• Proficiency in Golang, Helm, and Terraform (Python is a plus).
• Strong networking knowledge, including Cilium/eBPF.
• Experience with monitoring, debugging large systems, and vulnerability management.
• Familiarity with AWS multi-account setups, GitHub Actions, and OpenTelemetry.
