Overview

The Platform Engineer will work within a specialist team dedicated to media asset management and broadcast systems, focusing on hands-on integration and automation tasks. The role involves supporting complex workflows in both on-premise and AWS environments, as well as collaborating with engineering, operations, and product teams to enhance platform reliability and scalability over a 6-month contract period.

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain deployment pipelines for media processing platforms.
  • Automate infrastructure and application deployments using Infrastructure as Code.
  • Integrate MAM/PAM platforms with internal and third-party systems via APIs.
  • Support video processing, transcoding, streaming, and content delivery workflows.
  • Build and maintain cloud-native and hybrid broadcast platforms.
  • Produce technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and product teams to improve platform performance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with MAM/PAM platforms and broadcast media workflows.
  • Strong understanding of video processing, content management, and streaming technologies.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices using Jenkins, Concourse, or GitHub Actions.
  • Proficiency in building API integrations between enterprise systems.
  • Strong programming or scripting skills in Python, Java/Groovy, JavaScript, or Node.js.
  • Experience working with AWS services and cloud-based media platforms.
