Overview
We are seeking a skilled Platform Engineer with expertise in AWS to support a leading banking client's technological infrastructure on a hybrid basis. The contractor will work closely with a team of developers and stakeholders to deliver robust platform solutions focused on cloud architecture and services. This role is perfect for individuals who are immediately available and looking for a challenging contract position.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement cloud solutions using AWS services.
- Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Configure and maintain Kubernetes clusters in EKS.
- Automate deployment processes using CI/CD pipelines.
- Write and optimize scripts in Bash, Python, or Go.
- Collaborate with the team to enhance AWS networking configurations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform-related issues effectively.
- Integrate tools like NGINX, Traefik, or HAProxy into existing systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Platform Engineer or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in AWS services and architecture.
- Experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, particularly EKS.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Go.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes.
- Experience with AWS networking fundamentals.
- Understanding of service mesh technologies like Istio is a plus.
