Overview
As a Platform Engineering Lead, you will drive the transformation of how engineering teams build, deploy, and operate software, playing a key role in creating the tooling, automation, and standards that empower faster and safer software shipping. Collaborating closely with Engineering, Architecture, and Security teams, your focus will be on modernising cloud platforms, enhancing the developer experience, and establishing a scalable, cloud-native engineering organisation.
Responsibilities
- Drive the platform engineering strategy and roadmap.
- Build self-service platform capabilities to enhance developer productivity.
- Create robust CI/CD pipelines and deployment standards.
- Embed DevSecOps practices throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
- Standardise Infrastructure as Code and cloud engineering practices.
- Improve reliability, observability, and operational resilience.
- Reduce friction across engineering teams and accelerate software delivery.
- Establish secure-by-default patterns for cloud services, deployments, and integrations.
Requirements
- Strong Azure cloud experience.
- Expertise in CI/CD, automation, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep).
- Experience building internal developer platforms and platform engineering capabilities.
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps and modern software delivery practices.
- Experience improving engineering velocity, reliability, and developer experience at scale.
- Ability to influence engineering teams and drive technical change.
