Overview
The PMO Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the Project Management Office for a multi-billion-Euro offshore wind project, consulting with senior management on aspects of governance, resource allocation, and project delivery. This position involves managing a team, ensuring the implementation of robust governance frameworks, and monitoring key project performance indicators. The PMO Manager will collaborate with various functional units to maintain the highest standards of quality assurance and process improvement throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain project governance structures, processes, and systems.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators to address deviations proactively.
- Manage and mentor the PMO team, fostering professional development and effective team dynamics.
- Coordinate with control functions to integrate risk management, cost control, and interface management activities.
- Develop, implement, and oversee project-specific dashboards for performance visibility.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing through the Lessons Learned process and related tools.
- Prepare regular project reports, including weekly and monthly updates, tailored to stakeholder needs.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental practices across all project activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or a related field.
- Professional Project Management qualification (e.g., APM PMQ, PMI) preferred.
- Significant experience as a PMO Manager in large-scale construction or offshore wind projects.
- Proficiency in using project management tools such as Primavera P6 and expertise in EDMS.
- Strong IT skills with advanced expertise in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Power BI.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex projects.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal, in English.
