Overview
The Power BI Developer will join a growing public sector data team, focusing on transforming Excel-based reporting into scalable data solutions using Azure and Power BI. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the enhancement of data-driven decision-making across public services while collaborating with various teams in a structured sprint environment.
Responsibilities
- Build and deliver Power BI dashboards based on stakeholder requirements.
- Translate existing Excel-based reporting into scalable Power BI solutions.
- Operate within a 2-week sprint cycle alongside a growing data team.
- Collaborate with architecture and service design teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting beyond "lift and shift" dashboards.
- Deliver dashboards aligned to social housing and local authority data.
Requirements
- Strong experience developing dashboards in Power BI.
- Experience working with multiple data sources (Excel, databases, etc.).
- Ability to gather and translate stakeholder requirements into deliverables.
- Experience delivering reporting in structured project or sprint environments.
- Understanding of data transformation and reporting best practices.
- Public sector experience is preferred.
- Experience working with local authorities is a plus.
- Experience in smaller startup environments is an advantage.
