Overview
We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer with current SC clearance to join a secure transformation programme on a remote, initial 3-month contract. In this hands-on role, you will build and enhance Power BI reporting solutions, collaborating with stakeholders to convert complex data into actionable insights.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Build efficient data models using Power Query and DAX.
- Connect to, transform and model data from multiple sources, including SQL Server.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Optimise report performance and user experience.
- Support testing, documentation and deployment of reporting solutions.
- Work with data, infrastructure and project teams throughout delivery.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience developing solutions in Microsoft Power BI.
- Excellent knowledge of DAX, Power Query and data modelling.
- Strong SQL skills, including writing and optimising queries.
- Experience working with SQL Server and relational databases.
- Knowledge of ETL processes and data transformation.
- Experience with Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric or the wider Azure data platform is beneficial.
- Exposure to SSIS, SSRS or Azure DevOps is advantageous.
- Current, active Security Clearance (SC) is essential.
