Overview
We are seeking a Power Systems Engineer to join our team, where they will focus on supporting onshore projects involved with power system studies. The engineer will collaborate with various stakeholders and oversee third-party vendors while ensuring comprehensive studies to optimize power generation systems. This role will involve utilizing specialized software to provide critical analyses and solutions for projects.
Responsibilities
- Conduct power system studies, including load flow, short circuit, and dynamic motor starting analyses.
- Utilize EMT software to provide detailed insights for project requirements.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors to ensure accurate assessments and implementations.
- Perform equipment sizing and harmonic studies related to power systems.
- Oversee and contribute to arc flash and transient stability studies.
- Work effectively within a hybrid model, attending the office four days a week and working remotely one day.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in power systems engineering and onshore project support.
- Proficiency in conducting studies related to captive power generation, both grid-connected and standalone.
- Intermediate knowledge of ETAP software for power system analyses.
- Familiarity with key studies such as load flow, harmonic analysis, and short circuit analysis.
- Ability to assess and manage resources effectively, including third-party vendor oversight.
