Principal Software Engineer

Overview

The Principal Software Engineer will play a pivotal role in a major digital transformation project for a retail company. This individual will be responsible for re-platforming existing systems to an event-driven MACH architecture, collaborating closely with development teams to implement new technologies and methodologies. The position offers an exciting opportunity to drive significant change in the organization’s technical landscape while working within an initial 6-month contract.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement event-driven MACH architecture solutions.
• Collaborate with teams to migrate existing systems to new platforms.
• Utilize TypeScript and Node to enhance software capabilities.
• Implement CI/CD processes to streamline development.
• Integrate AWS services and Lambdas into existing systems.
• Ensure code quality and performance through best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience in software engineering, particularly with TypeScript and Node.
• Strong understanding of event-driven architecture and MACH principles.
• Experience with React for front-end development.
• Familiarity with AWS services and Lambda functions.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools.
• Previous involvement in large-scale digital transformation projects is preferred.
