The Procurement Manager – Clinical Laboratories will play a crucial role within the Global Procurement team of a leading organization in the life sciences sector. This contract position involves developing and executing strategic sourcing initiatives, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing procurement processes in alignment with research and development objectives. The role includes collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to enhance procurement projects and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic sourcing and category management activities across Clinical Laboratory spend.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage supplier relationships and lead commercial negotiations.
  • Support contract management and procurement governance.
  • Conduct market analysis and identify cost optimisation opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver procurement projects and improve customer experience.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with relevant R&D and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Degree in Business, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years' experience in strategic procurement, sourcing, or category management.
  • Strong supplier management and contract negotiation experience.
  • Experience with procurement systems and procurement processes.
  • Knowledge of Clinical Laboratory categories, including Genomics & Genetics, Bioanalytics, and more.
  • Understanding of R&D procurement and regulated environments, including GCP.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Business-level English.
