Overview
The Product Catalogue Architect / Taxonomy Consultant will lead the redesign of a multi-market B2C retailer’s product catalogue, focusing on structural design from the ground up. Collaborating closely with stakeholders, the consultant will optimize catalogue models to enhance operational efficiency while addressing complex legacy constraints and migration challenges.
Responsibilities
- Design the structure of the product catalogue including hierarchies and attributes.
- Balance first-principles thinking with pragmatic handling of legacy systems.
- Target and improve high-frequency operational pain points in product management.
- Leverage existing product hierarchies and visions in redesign efforts.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Taxonomy Consultant, Information Architect, or Global Product Data Specialist.
- Track record with large-scale commerce or content platforms.
- Strong knowledge of catalogue modelling including hierarchies, attributes, and pricing rules.
- Experience with relevant platforms such as Stibo Systems, Akeneo, Salsify, or Salesforce Industries/Vlocity.
