Overview
This role involves leading the structural design of a product catalogue for a multi-market B2C corporation undergoing a significant redesign. The Product Catalogue Architect will work closely with stakeholders to create an optimized catalogue model that addresses complex legacy constraints, focusing on high-impact operations while ensuring a balance between innovative design and practicality.
Responsibilities
- Design the structure of the product catalogue including hierarchies, attributes, and relationships.
- Leverage existing product hierarchy and product vision as a foundation for redesign.
- Target and improve high-frequency operations that create pain points in the catalogue process.
- Balance first-principles thinking with pragmatic solutions addressing legacy and migration issues.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Taxonomy Consultant, Information Architect, or Product Data Specialist.
- Strong background in large-scale commerce or content platforms.
- Expertise in catalogue modelling including hierarchies, attributes, entitlements, and pricing.
- Experience with catalogue-driven business support systems and commerce platforms such as Sigma Systems or Oracle Communications.
- Familiarity with PIM and MDM tools such as Stibo Systems or Akeneo is a plus.
