Overview
The Product Designer will play a critical role in building a scalable design system for a PE-backed EdTech company undergoing a significant digital rebrand. Collaborating with experienced teams in UX, Product, Engineering, and Brand, the designer will contribute to crafting a platform that delivers exceptional user experiences, while establishing best practices and governance for design consistency. This position offers a unique chance to influence the evolution of digital products and brand identity through innovative design solutions.
Responsibilities
- Build a scalable Design System from scratch.
- Create reusable Figma component libraries.
- Define typography, colour, spacing, grids, and interaction patterns.
- Work closely with UX, Product, and Engineering teams.
- Establish governance, documentation, and best practices.
- Assist in delivering a major digital rebrand for the organization.
Requirements
- Proven experience in building enterprise Design Systems.
- Expert-level proficiency in Figma, including Variables, Tokens, Auto Layout, and Components.
- Strong Product Design experience for responsive digital products.
- Excellent understanding of accessibility and inclusive design principles.
- Effective collaboration with developers and engineering teams.
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced delivery environment.
- Experience with rebranding programmes is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with Drupal, Tokens Studio, or design-to-code workflows is a bonus.
