Overview
We are looking for an experienced Product Engineer with a backend focus to join a product-centric engineering team dedicated to building complex billing, pricing, and commercial platform functionalities. This remote role will involve hands-on work with Python and TypeScript, aimed at developing large-scale transactional systems that require precision and reliability. The successful candidate will significantly influence technical decisions and the direction of the project in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend services using Python.
- Build scalable solutions for billing and pricing functionalities.
- Develop APIs and workflows for high-volume data processing.
- Model complex business rules and financial calculations.
- Collaborate with Product for design solutions from first principles.
- Contribute to frontend development as needed with TypeScript.
- Enhance reliability and scalability of the platform as it evolves.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering.
- Proficient in Python, with experience in production-grade applications.
- Experience in developing billing, settlement, or pricing platforms.
- Background in the Energy sector, Utilities, or Financial Trading preferred.
- Ability to work with data-heavy systems and intricate business logic.
- Strong ownership mindset and effective communication skills.
- Experience in startups or scaling companies is a plus.
- Knowledge of transactional integrity and financial accuracy best practices is valuable.
