Overview
The Product Manager will play a pivotal role in a retail business undergoing significant technology and operational transformation. Working in a hands-on capacity alongside a Senior Product Manager and various engineering teams, the contractor will translate broad business objectives into actionable deliverables with a focus on agile delivery. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders to define problems and gather requirements.
- Break down larger initiatives into clear, actionable tasks for development teams.
- Create and refine user stories, tickets, and acceptance criteria.
- Own and prioritize the product backlog to ensure effective delivery.
- Manage dependencies, blockers, and timelines throughout the delivery process.
- Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, and agile ceremonies.
- Provide necessary information and guidance to teams to facilitate progress.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner within technology teams.
- Strong skills in writing user stories, tickets, and detailed requirements.
- Experience collaborating closely with software engineers on a daily basis.
- Ability to convert high-level business requirements into practical deliverables.
- Demonstrated expertise in backlog management and prioritization.
- Familiarity with agile delivery environments.
- Competence in gathering requirements from users, stakeholders, and business teams.
- Experience with project management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or Notion.
