Overview
We are seeking a Program Manager to lead a complex Workday ERP implementation for a government organization in the public sector. The contractor will manage the end-to-end program delivery, ensuring governance, scope, risk management, and stakeholder alignment while navigating public sector constraints. This role requires engaging with multiple suppliers and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of HCM, Finance, and integration modules within the Workday platform.
Responsibilities
- Lead and establish programme governance and reporting mechanisms.
- Define and maintain the integrated master plan, including RAID and critical path management.
- Refine scope and milestones for Workday modules and oversee delivery phases.
- Manage relationships with C-suite executives, programme sponsors, and operational leaders.
- Embed security and compliance measures aligned with UK data protection requirements.
- Coordinate organizational change management, including communication and training plans.
- Oversee data migration strategy and integration design for the programme.
- Ensure successful transition to BAU support including hypercare and knowledge transfer.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in leading large-scale ERP/HCM/Finance transformations, including 3+ Workday programmes.
- Experience delivering projects within the UK government or regulated public sector environment.
- Strong multi-supplier management skills and commercial acumen regarding SoWs and KPIs.
- Hands-on experience with full lifecycle project management, including RAID, planning, and status reporting.
- Expertise in data migration, complex integrations, and leadership of testing and cutover.
- Familiarity with OCM practices including stakeholder mapping and adoption metrics.
- Desirable familiarity with Workday modules and public sector processes.
- Understanding of internal controls relevant to financial operations and compliance.
