The Programme Manager will oversee the Payments Portfolio for a UK Digital Bank, leading various projects including Debit Card Modernisation and Digital Channel integration. This role involves managing a team of Project Managers and requires a deep understanding of end-to-end Payments processes, along with excellent stakeholder and vendor management skills. Working closely with third-party suppliers, the Programme Manager will be pivotal in driving strategic initiatives and ensuring successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Payments Portfolio, overseeing all related programmes and projects.
  • Manage a team of Project Managers, providing guidance and strategic oversight.
  • Engage with stakeholders and ensure effective communication across projects.
  • Oversee technical delivery and integration with third-party suppliers.
  • Implement project plans and ensure adherence to deadlines and budgets.
  • Monitor project progress and address any issues that arise.
  • Facilitate collaboration between cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on project outcomes.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Programme Management within the banking sector, ideally at a challenger bank or Fintech.
  • Extensive knowledge of end-to-end Payments processes.
  • Strong technical delivery background from a project/programme perspective.
  • Experience managing a team of Project Managers.
  • Excellent stakeholder and vendor management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with digital payment solutions such as Apple Pay and Google Pay.
