Overview
We are seeking an experienced Programme Test Manager to lead testing efforts for a major technology transformation initiative. The successful candidate will develop and execute the testing strategy while coordinating with multiple projects and stakeholders, facilitating high-quality releases and successful deployments. This is a remote contract position with occasional travel to Cambridge, on a transformative programme with significant impact.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the programme Test Strategy, Test Plans and overall test schedule.
- Coordinate System, Integration, UAT, Operational and Performance Testing across multiple workstreams.
- Manage testing activities, dependencies and readiness with delivery teams, suppliers and business stakeholders.
- Oversee defect management, including triage, reporting and resolution.
- Produce test dashboards, status reports and Test Exit Reports.
- Ensure test evidence meets agreed entry and exit criteria.
- Provide assurance to programme governance and support Go/No-Go decisions.
- Drive continuous improvement across the programme testing function.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading testing on large-scale technology transformation programmes.
- Strong background in Test Strategy, planning and test governance.
- Experience coordinating multiple projects, third-party suppliers and senior stakeholders.
- Excellent defect management and test reporting experience.
- Strong understanding of System, Integration, UAT, Operational and Performance Testing.
- Ability to provide release assurance and Go/No-Go recommendations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
