Overview
The Project Lead will oversee critical projects within the manufacturing environment, ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory expectations. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners to drive process improvements and manage project execution. The Project Lead will be instrumental in problem-solving and operational support while enhancing customer and supplier relationships through effective communication and technical expertise.
Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate processes to improve workflows, operating procedures, and control documents.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and partners to meet technical project specifications.
- Support investigations of non-conformance reports using established problem-solving methodologies.
- Lead project planning, execution, and closure, ensuring alignment with customer requirements.
- Participate in weekly and monthly reviews, managing project risks effectively.
- Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives in manufacturing processes.
- Represent management in customer meetings, discussing operational KPIs and improvements.
- Utilize QC tools and SPC techniques for data collection and analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 8-10 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering.
- Experience with quality standards such as AS9100, OSHAS, and ISO certification processes.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality compliance.
- Green Belt certification in a quality initiative is preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Experience in lean management and 5S practices.
- Ability to travel to customer sites and service providers as required.
