Overview
We are seeking an experienced Disaster Recovery Project Manager for a 6-month contract role focused on leading a critical program to enhance Disaster Recovery and Backup capabilities across a complex enterprise environment. The successful candidate will work closely with various functions, including Product Managers, technology teams, and third-party suppliers, ensuring effective delivery and governance of disaster recovery initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Assess current-state Disaster Recovery and Backup capabilities.
- Define and document the target-state Disaster Recovery framework.
- Develop project roadmaps and implementation plans.
- Produce Disaster Recovery policies, templates, and governance processes.
- Coordinate technical assessments, runbooks, and recovery plans.
- Manage Disaster Recovery testing, reporting, and remediation recommendations.
- Deliver project handover and knowledge transfer activities.
Requirements
- Proven track record in delivering Disaster Recovery projects within large-scale enterprise environments, preferably in Financial Services or other regulated sectors.
- Experience in conducting current-state assessments and defining future-state Disaster Recovery capabilities.
- Strong capability in developing and managing project roadmaps and workstreams.
- Experience in producing and implementing Disaster Recovery policies and governance processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage senior business and technology stakeholders.
- Experience working in complex environments with multiple applications and third-party vendors.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
