Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee a significant HS2 civils package, focusing on structures and watercourse works. The successful candidate will work closely with various teams in a hands-on capacity, ensuring effective delivery within a Tier 1 assurance-led environment, particularly in Birmingham. This role is crucial for the successful execution of major infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage project timelines and deliverables for HS2 civils package.
- Coordinate temporary works and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Oversee site-based delivery and monitor construction progress.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate project objectives.
- Ensure quality assurance and project standards are upheld.
- Address any site issues promptly and effectively.
- Prepare and present project updates to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in heavy civils.
- Certification as a Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC).
- SMSTS certification is essential.
- Strong site-based delivery background in infrastructure projects.
- Experience with highways, rail, structures, or earthworks is beneficial.
- Knowledge of HS2 processes and regulations is desirable.
- Appointed Person (Lifting) certification is a plus.
- EUSR certification is preferable.
