Overview
The Project Manager will oversee the delivery of large-scale energy transition projects across the UK for a leading renewable energy developer. This role requires a seasoned professional to manage third-party contractors through all phases of project delivery, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and scheduling standards. The position involves coordinating with various stakeholders including contractors, consultants, and local authorities to ensure project success.
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of project delivery from mobilisation through to handover.
- Lead and coordinate EPC, OEM, and ICP contractors on behalf of the asset owner.
- Oversee all site-based construction activities, ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and company procedures.
- Proactively identify and manage project risks, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
- Serve as the key interface between contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
- Manage project reporting, scheduling, and cost forecasting for accuracy.
- Support tendering, contract negotiation, and administration processes.
- Lead site inspections and commissioning activities for quality assurance.
Requirements
- Proven track record delivering infrastructure or renewable energy projects.
- Strong experience managing NEC contracts and third-party contractors.
- Background in client-side or hybrid client/contractor project delivery environments.
- Experience managing DNO or transmission-connected projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Competent in project budgeting, risk management, and progress reporting.
