Overview
We are looking for a skilled Project Manager to oversee a significant Solar PV project combined with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across Northwest England. This role entails managing the project lifecycle from planning and permitting to construction and handover, while ensuring compliance with time, budget, and safety standards. The Project Manager will collaborate with various stakeholders and lead efforts in the rapidly advancing renewable energy sector in the UK.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of project delivery from early-stage development through to completion.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, and reporting using recognised project management methodologies.
- Coordinate planning, environmental, and permitting activities with consultants and authorities.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including landowners, grid operators, and contractors.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
- Drive performance, safety, and quality standards across all project phases.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing solar, wind, or battery energy storage projects in the UK.
- Strong understanding of renewable development, planning, and construction processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Confident managing budgets and risks across complex, multi-phase projects.
- Project Management qualification (APM, PMP, or equivalent) is advantageous.
